ASHI - CPR for the Professional Rescuer

Students learn how to recognize a life-threatening emergency, how to provide basic life support and what to do in case of an airway obstruction or choking. ASHI"s CPR PRO has been approved for training for Emergency Medical Services personnel and is accepted by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).

 
ASHI - Basic First Aid
ASHI Basic First Aid for the Community & Workplace program is designed for individuals in the community that require or desire a basic knowledge and first aid skills. This extremely flexible program will help employers meet OSHA and other federal and state regulatory requirements for training employees how to respond and care for medical emergencies at work.

Emergency Medical Technician - Basic
GCEMS, in partnership with St. Anthony Hospitals Prehospital Services, offers the EMT-Basic course, consisting of a minimum of 180 hours of classroom and practical sessions and at least 44 hours of clinical rotations in the hospital and ambulance settings (outside of regular classroom time). This course prepares the student for the National Registry exam and Colorado State EMT certification. We offer two courses annually, a 4 week accelerated course and a 3 month course

GCEMS offers the EMT-Basic Refresher course consisting of 48 hours of classroom and practical sessions. The course encompasses the continuing education requirements for Colorado State and NREMT EMT-Basic renewal.

Emergency Medical Technician - Basic Practical Exam
GCEMS is a testing site and is able to offer practical exam testing for the NREMT-Basic certification. Students are allowed to sit for the exam 3 times before they need to pursue remedial training.

Emergency Medical Technician - ALS REFRESHER
The goal of the ALS Refresher course is to provide a review of the ALS curriculum and to prepare the student to successfully complete the Colorado Paramedic or Intermediate certificate renewal. The course meets all National Registry mandatory core content requirements and the Colorado State renewal requirements. It is designed to refresh and reinforce previous knowledge and explore new concepts. It includes a one-day Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) refresher program.

IV Endorsement
Certified Colorado EMT-Basics are permitted to perform intravenous insertion under medical direction following successful completion of this course. The class includes 24 hours of the theory of fluid therapy and practical training and 8 to 16 hours in-hospital clinical experience.
